This site is a tribute to Glenn Murray. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Glenn Shaw Murray, who passed away on 7th February 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.


An exceptionally loved father, brother, son, grandfather, uncle, partner & friend, with a character too big for regular words, but if you knew him, you knew. His humour and nuances will continue to bring laughter and great amusement to those who loved him for years to come. The hole that will be left cannot be filled; his singularity & uniqueness is not replaceable; everthing he did was authentically his way. Glenn’s love is ingrained in all he took under his wing, including the animals who were drawn to him and stayed by his side. They say you can judge a person’s character by how he treats animals, and we all know Glenn’s compassion was deep, right down to the tiniest ant. We could go on forever, but this elaborate soul is not easily reduced to a verse. So for now…


You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back 
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him 
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
 Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
